This is a typical view of Table Mountain from Capetown Harbour.
 It was named table mountain because it is flat for several miles 
- obscured in the picture above by the clouds. 

In the early days of the cape (mid 1600's), 
the first sailor to see table mountain would receive 
a silver coin from the captain of the vessel.
